Development of shear deformation in lath martensite of medium alloy steels under tension

Evolution of shear deformation in steel with the structure tempered martensite was studied under active tension. Purpose work to identify patterns development at scale-structural levels: package, plate, fragment a package and lath. The authors investigated relief formed different stages plastic by optical, transmission scanning electron microscopy. Quantitative characteristics were measured: strength ( P ), distance X ) between traces their length. Statistical processing carried out, average values relationship degree determined. It established that lath component occurs formation two subsystems traces: thin coarse. Subsystems are from very beginning deformation. Appearance evolution subsystem coarse correlates first (long) neck sample, it is main mechanism leading localization on sample scale. places rough shift border areas laths fragments package. Connection fragmented dislocation revealed. power < f > s do not depend local entire range degrees remain constant until destruction (< = 0.1 μm 0.3 μm).
